The DrARTEX Baffle Plus is a premium 5.0 mm thick material specifically engineered to address the twin threats of airborne road noise and cabin heat. As a dedicated insulator, its primary function is to reflect sound waves and block thermal transfer. Constructed from high-density, Chemically Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam (CCPE) and a thin synthetic butyl adhesive layer, Baffle Plus provides a vital secondary layer of defense, significantly reducing high-frequency noise and heat soak after a primary vibration damper has been applied.

Baffle Plus is designed for maximum coverage and ease of application across large, contoured surfaces. Its composition is structurally stable with a melting point of 140°C and is completely waterproof, ensuring long-term performance without moisture absorption or degradation. With a very low mass of just 1.4 kg/m², this product adds minimal weight while dramatically increasing the acoustic comfort and thermal regulation of the vehicle interior.

Installation

Zero Moisture Risk. The foam’s closed-cell, non-absorbing structure makes it the ideal choice for areas exposed to moisture, like inside door panels, protecting your interior and sensitive electronics.

Materials

Baffle Plus is constructed from robust, closed-cell foam that performs effectively from -40°C to +90°C. The foam layer is backed by a thin, highly elastic 0.4 mm synthetic butyl rubber adhesive, ensuring permanent and stable application to metal surfaces, even on complex curves and vertical panels like the roof.
